In “store bought” shampoos and soaps, there is a chemical called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate(SLS). This chemical is used to clean grease off heavy machinery and motors. Manufacturers put SLS in beauty products to help strip away the oils from your body. They also use it in skin care products like lotions. SLS is actually known to cause cancer in humans and has many other side effects as well.
